WE DO
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
The goal of the YWCA Haïti is to promote the leadership of women and girls in Haiti, so they can contribute to the development of their communities and country. Our main focus is on three key issues: education, health and leadership.
Education
Young girls aged 5 to 18 have daily access to academic support, computer skills, and robotics classes, reading skills as well as non-formal “life skills” workshops.
Health
Collaborating with its health partners for years, the YH is able to offer all participants various health services every year, free of charge:

HIV tests and medical/psychological follow up if needed

Deworming treatments twice a year

Covid-19 testing and medical support

Nutritional support (vitamins, medication,…)

Individual, group and family psychosocial support

Dental care (once a year)

Eye care (once a year)

Skin and hair workshops with products or medication
Leadership
The YH believes that women and girls can be agents of change in their communities. That is why investing in their education and training, empowering them to become leaders, has been the focus of its programs, setting good examples of leadership.
